Quarantine Guidelines Update
Quarantine Guidelines Update
Madison Burfeind
Monday, December 07, 2020

The following information is based on the newest CDC guidelines. Governor Asa Hutchinson has announced that Arkansas is adopting the following guidelines- effective immediately.

  • Quarantine can end after Day 10 without testing and without symptoms.
  • Quarantine can end after Day 7 if a close contact tests negative and if no symptoms occurred. The test must be taken no sooner than a full 5 days after exposure; however, quarantine will remain in effect until after Day 7.
  • If at any time someone is in quarantine due to a close contact and begins developing symptoms, they should immediately get tested for COVID-19 and isolate- even if they previously had a negative test during their current quarantine. Please note that the two options above only apply to those who have no symptoms.
