Fountain Lake Playoff Ticket Information Tickets for the Fountain Lake vs. Pottsville Playoff game AT Pottsville this Friday, November 13 are all bought online. Fountain Lake is allotted 194 tickets to this first round at Pottsville. Once they are all bought online, there will be no tickets at the gate on Friday. The link is https://gofan.co/app/events/149527 If you have trouble with the link, go to gofan.co (that is without an “m”-.co) According to the AAA, “AAA passes will be accepted unless the venue has reached capacity in actual attendance or pre-sold tickets. Fountain Lake Basketball Fans and Parents, As a school, every school is limited by the Arkansas Department of Health on the number of attendees at all sporting events held at school. Vouchers and tickets, for both home and away games, are going to be a headache but we are trying our best to allow parents first chance to get to see their sons and daughters participate. After the parent vouchers we are very limited on general admission vouchers. We do not want anyone to be left out, but with the school’s limitations, we are doing the best we can, trying to be fair to everyone. The coaches will now be handing out vouchers to the players during practice. There is no need for parents to visit the administration office 2 days before the game for the parent vouchers. Please note that any additional vouchers will need to be acquired a day before the game and on game day, until they run out. If you are a parent and do not plan to attend, please do not get vouchers, so that others that plan or want to attend have at least an opportunity. We will be Live Streaming most games on YouTube, free of charge. The YouTube page is “Fountain Lake Athletics”. Simply go to YouTube on your device and search “Fountain Lake Athletics” and the game should start at the tipoff. This is a first for Fountain Lake, so please be patient as we work through any hiccups we may encounter. Thank you for all your interest and understanding of this difficult situation we are encountering.

Fountain Lake Home Basketball Vouchers Due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions, there will be major changes in the way tickets are acquired for all home basketball games. We will be issuing vouchers prior to each game, giving parents the first opportunity to get their vouchers. Each participant, for the respective nights of play, will be allowed 2 parent vouchers 2 days prior to game day. Participants may pick up the vouchers for their respective parents. All vouchers will be acquired at the Fountain Lake Administration Building. General Admission vouchers may be picked up 1 day before the game and on game day. Additional family tickets will be available during General Admission days. The admin office will be open for voucher pickup between 8:15-3:30 daily. The vouchers will be turned in, at the front gate only, and exchanged for a ticket to the game. There will be only one entrance, the front gate. Tickets are $5 each. At this time, there will be no vouchers available at the gates, so you must have a voucher to get a ticket. Please do not get a voucher unless you plan to attend. Parents need to remember 2 days before a game while general admission needs to remember 1 day before the game and game day. Examples: Vouchers will be available for parents of participants on Thursday (2 days) for next Monday’s games. On Friday (1 day before) and Monday (day of the game), general admission vouchers will be available. Vouchers will be available for parents of participants on Friday (2 days) for next Tuesday’s games. On Monday (1 day before) and Tuesday (day of the game), general admission vouchers will be available. Vouchers will be available for parents of participants on Tuesday (2 days) for next Thursday’s games. On Wednesday (1 day before) and Thursday (day of the game), general admission vouchers will be available. Passes: All passes must have a voucher. AAA Passes, Senior Passes, and Teacher Passes will be honored but must have a voucher. You will present your pass and your voucher at the gate. Teachers/Staff: Each Staff member may acquire one voucher to each game and any additional vouchers will be paid attendees. Please do not acquire a voucher if you do not attend the game. Students: Students may acquire a voucher to each game. Please do not acquire a voucher if you do not attend the game. Each school and venue that Fountain Lake will visit could be drastically different from one another. Upon receiving the information, we will share asap. We will continue to give parents first availability on the road, too. We will not be able to decide for the other venues how many tickets or vouchers they can share, or how they monitor their attendance/capacities. Other Notes of Importance: Parents and Fans will not be allowed on the court after completion of the game. All fans are expected to leave the gym immediately after the games. Parents may wait in the bleachers for their athletes. Every attendee MUST wear a face covering at all times unless eating or drinking. Social distancing in the bleachers is mandatory. DO NOT SIT on rows with yellow tape. Households and families may sit together with the next group or individuals 6’ apart.

NEW FOUNTAIN LAKE BASKETBALL (7-12) PROTOCOLS Due to Covid-19 capacity restrictions, ticket vouchers for all games for grades 7-12 will be limited. Our desire is to give parents of the participants the first chance at acquiring vouchers for each game. Our limit on the Home Side will be 210, with the visitors receiving 120 seats. These numbers are total seats and we must factor in how many participants might be in attendance and not playing in any given game with 15 players on each team. Fountain Lake’s capacity could range from 210 for a one game night, to 165 for a 4 game night. In order to manage the task of capacity restrictions, we will stream all home games free of charge. More information about this will come later this week. Please understand that each fan in attendance must be accounted for according to the Department of Health’s Guidelines. Announcements will be made through the Fountain Lake Facebook page and can be found on the Fountain Lake App on your smartphone. Parents and fans will need to visit these pages often to know when to acquire tickets for games. It is our plan to have these announcements well in advance of the games. When we travel to other schools, the visitor’s limits will be different on each occasion. Announcements for these dates and places will be available on the mentioned sites.

It is with sincere regret, that due to the Covid Pandemic and the quarantining of over 70% of the Fountain Lake football coaching staff and quarantining of a large number of both our Junior and Senior High football teams, we must cancel the 2020 First Security Bank Kickoff Classic Football games scheduled with the Hot Springs School District. These games were scheduled on Tuesday, August 25 and Thursday, August 27. Both districts have exhausted every possible avenue to continue the contests this fall, but could not find any open dates to resume the contest in 2020. After many conversations with the Hot Springs administration and staff, we have made a mutual decision to cancel in 2020 and resume in the fall of 2021. This decision has been extremely difficult because the Fountain Lake student athletes want to compete. Keeping the health and safety of our student athletes as our number one priority, we believe that with only a couple of practices available before the game, that almost a third of our team will not be ready to compete without the possibility of fatigue and subsequent injury. The Arkansas Activities Association has deemed this game to be a “No Contest” and will not count for or against either school’s overall record. We appreciate First Security Bank and their sponsorship of the week of activities that lead up to the senior high football game that has taken place the last 2 years. We also want to thank Levi Hospital, Allen Tillery Auto, and Smokin N’ Style for their support. In addition, we appreciate the relationships we have built with the Hot Springs School District and their support through the quarantine and cancellation of the contests

Two Fountain Lake School District employees have tested positive for COVID-19. One of the employees is a football coach. We have followed the Arkansas Department of Health contact tracing guidelines and have found that several members of our junior and senior high football teams were in probable close contact with the teacher that tested positive. Anyone in probable close contact will be asked to self quarantine for 14 days and this information has been forwarded to the department of health for further monitoring. Our district notified all students and parents that needed to self quarantine today. Therefore, if you were not notified your child is encouraged to maintain their normal routine at home and school. I appreciate the cooperation and understanding of everyone involved and thank you for your support as we take the necessary precautions to keep our staff and students safe on our campus.

Fountain Lake Fans, The Arkansas HS Athletic Directors held a Zoom Meeting today and many topics were discussed concerning athletics in Arkansas. At this time the AAA has no new news concerning reopening/changing from Phase 1. All the AAA directives come from the Governor’s office and the Department of Health. The Arkansas Activities Association has stated they still plan to have athletics in the fall. They have been very cautious in saying that though that is the plan, things and circumstances are very fluid and can change overnight. The Cobra Athletic programs will continue to monitor all avenues of information from the AAA, the Department of Health, the CDC and the Governor’s office. We will continue with the safety protocols set in Phase 1. I sincerely wish there was more to announce but that is not the case today. Please be patient and do what you can to help limit the spread of the virus.
