Fountain Lake Junior High Cobra Football Team traveled to Mena to play the Bearcats on September 21, 2023. Coach Justin McArthur said, “It was a great team-win on the road to move to 2-0 in conference play. We threw and caught the ball as well as any junior high team I’ve ever had. We were up 34-0 early in the third quarter and every kid on the team got to play; it was a fun night!” Cooper Buss was 22/24 passing for 240 yards and 4 touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown. Peyton Harwood had 14 receptions for 142 yards and 2 touchdowns. Preston Harness had 5 receptions for 52 yards and 2 touchdowns. Caleb Castle had 8 tackles to lead the defense. Aidan Ault had 5 tackles and 1 sack. The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were Cooper Buss, Preston Harness, and Peyton Harwood. Don’t miss the next game against Nashville on September 28, 2023.
