The Senior High Lady Cobras hosted the Mena Lady Bearcats on December 5, 2023. Mena led 13-10 after the first quarter and 24-17 at halftime. Fountain Lake led 35-31 after the third quarter and went on to win 51-41. Lainey Mungle and Emma Riley led the Lady Cobras in scoring with 18 points. The Lady Cobras will now move into conference play. Coach Matt Carter said, “I was proud of our effort tonight. I felt like the girls really turned up the defensive pressure in the second half which led to easy scoring opportunities. We talk about playing good defense all of the time and tonight our defense and effort were the difference in the game.” The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were Lainey Mungle and Emma Riley for contributing 18 points each! Way to go, Lady Cobras.
