The Junior High Lady Cobras faced the Ozark Hillbillies at Fountain Lake on January 8, 2024. The following are statistics from the game: Aliyah McKellar 12 points, Baylee Hedges 9 points, Sophie Chaney 9 points, Mallory Makin 5 points, Bailey Bean 2 points, Mia Makin 1 point, and Haley Graves 1 point. Coach Todd Willis said, “The Junior Lady Cobras used a stingy defense to defeat the visiting Junior Lady Hillbillies. Aliyah McKellar controlled the paint on offense, scoring 12 hard-earned points. Baylee Hedges and Sophie Chaney stepped up tonight, each scoring 9 points. The game was won with a suffocating press defense with multiple girls getting steals and converting them into easy layups. The win moves the Junior Lady Cobras record to 2-1 in conference and 10-2 overall.” The Fountain Lake Offensive Player of the Game was Aliyah McKellar and the Fountain Lake Defensive Player of the Game was Baylee Hedges. The next game is against Mena on January 11.
