The Fountain Lake Senior Boys Basketball Team played Ozark at Bass Gymnasium on February 10, 2023. The following are stats from the game: First Quarter 9-11, Second Quarter 20-17, Third Quarter 28-32, and a Final Score of 48-53 resulting in a loss for the Cobras. Coach Jacob Dettmering said, “The kids played hard in a physical game. [We] had some miscues that Ozark took advantage of in the second half, and we couldn’t overcome them due to struggles scoring and missed free throws. The Fountain Lake Player of the Game was Evan East. Don’t miss the Cobras play in the District Tournament on February 15, 2023. Fountain Lake will play the winner of Subiaco vs. Waldron.
The Fountain Lake Senior High Girls Basketball Team played Ozark at Bass Gymnasium on February 10, 2023. The Lady Cobras fell to the Lady Hillbillies with a score of 43-30. Mary Drakes led the way for Fountain Lake with a total of 12 points. Coach Matt Carter said, “I want to congratulate our Senior basketball players: Kamryn Whiley, Kara Martin, and Karlie Craver. Regardless of the outcome of the games, you have always played hard and I am proud of you for that. I wish all of you the best moving forward.” The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were Mary Drakes for scoring 12 points and Lainey Mungle for an outstanding defensive effort on Ozark’s best player, Burns, holding her to 8 points total for the game.
