The Fountain Lake Baseball team traveled to Morrilton on March 13, 2023 for a late-afternoon game. Fountain Lake topped Morrilton 5 to1. Wesley Campbell threw a complete game 3-hitter and got the win on the mound. He pitched 7 innings and struck out 15 batters. He also went 1 for 3 at the plate with a single and a walk. Brodie McMillan went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and 2 RBIs. Evan East went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and 1 RBI. Abe Rose went 1 for 3 with a single and a walk. Coach Justin McArthur said, “The team played very well and had a big 5th inning that busted the game open, and Wesley Campbell was dominant on the mound.” The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were Wesley Campbell, Evan East, and Brodie McMillan.
