Fountain Lake 9th Grade Volleyball Team and the Varsity team met in Malvern for a set of matches on August 24, 2023. The following are stats for the games: 9th Grade won 25-21, 25-21. Baylee Hedges had 8 service points and 5 kills. Ireland Kane had 12 kills. Varsity won 25-16, 25-22 and 25-11. Faith Jones had 14 service points and 19 digs. Andie Bassett had 8 kills and 4 blocks. Eden East had 10 service points and 13 assists. Coach Tina Moore said, “Varsity: we came out with some good energy. We kept the lead all night long and did not let the other team get a jump on us. We pulled out the win in straight sets.” The Fountain Lake Players of the Game were: 9th Grade: Ireland Kane; Varsity: Faith Jones for defense and Andie Bassett for offense. Their next matches will be against Arkadelphia on August 29, 2023.
