Fountain Lake Junior High Football faced Ashdown on the gridiron on September 15, 2022. Coach Justin McArthur expressed, “It was a very tough loss. The kids played hard and were down only one score with under two minutes left in the game. We gave up 4 big plays on defense and that proved to be the difference in the game.” Though the game ended in a 26-14 loss, Elijah Reed had 14 carries for 147 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Balin Alford had 7 carries for 37 yards rushing and 7 tackles. Peyton Harwood had 4 carries for 18 yards, 4 receptions for 51 yards, 5 tackles and 1 Interception. Cooper Buss threw 5 out of 8 with 53 yards passing and 1 rushing touchdown. Aidan Ault led the team with 8 tackles while Elijah Childs had 4 tackles and 1 sack.
