 Fountain Lake Cobra Football headed to Cedar Ridge on September 16, 2022 for a matchup on the field. Coach Kenneth Shelton said, “The guys played well especially considering a few minor injuries that required us to play some guys in different spots. We were in much better physical condition for this game.” In a 41-6 win, Abe Rose completed 7 out of 11 passes for 51 yards and had 1 touchdown.  Fountain Lake’s stats were as follows:  Abe Rose 11 rushed 76 yards and 3 touchdowns,  Abram Davis 7 rushed for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns, Juan Diggs had 5 receptions for 34 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensive stats were equally impressive: Nick Brey had 12 total tackles, Jaron Adams had 11 tackles and 1 fumble recovery and 1 quarterback pressure, Juan Diggs had 10 tackles and 2 pass break ups, Charley Higgins had 10 tackles and 1 pass breakup, Sammy Tillery had 9 tackles.  Aaron Russell had 3 tackles and 1 forced fumble. The Fountain Lake Player of the Game was Abram Davis with 7 rushes for 123 yards and 1 touchdown which gave the team an early start offensively.
