The Fountain Lake Senior High Football Team took on Genoa Central on September 30, 2022. This Homecoming Game was played in front of a full stadium of current and former students as well as fans, friends and family. Coach Kenneth Shelton said, “Juan Diggs had an unbelievable night with 5 total touchdowns plus what he did on the defensive side of the ball. The guys played extremely hard and grinded out a victory against a well-coached Genoa Central.” To bring the team to victory, Juan Diggs had 3 rushes for 88 yards and one touchdown, 4 receptions for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns, a kickoff return for 88 yards and a touchdown. Abram Davis had 21 rushes for 93 yards and one touchdown. Abe Rose was 6 for 12 in passing for 117 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 7 rushes for 33 yards. Destyn Fields was 1 for 1 in passing for 77 yards and had one touchdown. The defensive stats were as follows: Nick Brey 19 tackles; Juan Diggs 13 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble; Abe Rose 4 tackles, 3 pass breakups, one interception; Sammy Tillery 9 tackles, 2 forced fumbles; Kyle Pinkston 8 tackles (2 were tackles for loss), one pass breakup; Jaron Adams 18 tackles, one fumble recovery; Joel Gold 4 tackles, 1 fumble recovery; Evan East 3 tackles, 1 pass breakup, 1 interception, and 1 fumble recovery.
