Good evening, As you are all probably aware by now we will not be on campus Tuesday, 2/23, and Wednesday, 2/24 due to an area-wide water outage. It is our hope and plan as of now that instruction will be back on campus Thursday, 2/25, and Friday, 2/26. Friday this week is not a virtual option day. Because we have missed so much onsite instruction due to weather and water shortage, Friday is a regular school day onsite. If students miss this day their absence will be unexcused. I hope you have all enjoyed the snow and stayed safe! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these events. Mrs. Curry

Good afternoon, The Fountain Lake School District will not meet for face-to-face instruction on Monday, February 22. The North Garland County Water District notified us that we do not have water on our campus. Students should check SeeSaw and Google Classroom for assignments and continue to work virtually. We will continue to monitor road conditions and keep everyone informed regarding the water shortage.

Students should check SeeSaw or Google Classroom each day for assignments and scheduled class meetings. Any situation that arises that may prevent students from completing assignments will be addressed next week on a case by case basis. Please stay safe, warm and enjoy the snow! Have a great week.

Due to impending inclement weather, Fountain Lake will pivot to a digital learning day on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Devices will be sent home with students today for digital learning tomorrow. Students and staff will not report to campus on Thursday. Your child's teacher will be sending you a message this afternoon with a schedule and expectations for how tomorrow's virtual learning day will occur for their class. Any scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences will need to be conducted remotely. Please contact the teachers to schedule a remote conference. Please remember that there will not be school on Friday or Monday, February 12 and 15. Thank you for your cooperation and support. Stay safe!

Due to the forecasted inclement weather this evening, our FACES after school program will close early tonight Wednesday, February 10 at 5 PM. If your child will be attending our faces after school program today please make arrangements for your child to be picked up by 5 PM. This will allow our students and staff time to get home before the forecasted inclement weather hits at 6 PM. Thank you and go Cobras!--

What is Virtual Friday for Elementary? Virtual Fridays in the elementary will look much like a normal school day for us. We will be teaching, reviewing, and pulling small groups to meet students' academic needs. We are encouraging all students to attend, however, if your family chooses to take advantage of this day you will need to let your child's teacher know. Please communicate with your child’s teacher the day before to request a device. There will be no new assignments assigned on Fridays, and the student can work independently on the educational websites they use at school and read. We will not be sending home hotspots. It is very important that if your child takes a device home they bring it back, as they use them every day. Attendance will not be held against anyone on Virtual Fridays. However, if your child is struggling academically and needing support, your child’s teacher may request that they come on Fridays. This will start Friday, October 30th. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you for your support and flexibility! Mrs. Curry

Please read this important safety message. Car rider line for the elementary ends at 8 am each morning. According to our handbook policy, if you bring your child after that time they will need to be checked in at the K-1 or 2-4 office and will be counted tardy. After 8 am there are no adults present to unload your child and we do not allow the students to get out of the car by themselves without a staff member. Safety is a top priority for all students and it is vital they are not dropped off without an adult present. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter and I appreciate your support in following our school policies. Mrs. Curry
