The Fountain Lake School District Board of Education is excited to announce the hiring of Matt Richardson as Head Football Coach.
Coach Richardson comes to Fountain Lake from Ashdown where he has served as Head Football Coach, Head Track Coach, Athletic Director, and FCA Campus Director since 2011. Prior to working in Ashdown, Coach Richardson served as Defensive Coordinator in Texas at Blinn College.
A graduate of Cutter Morning Star, Coach Richardson and his family (Jennifer, his wife, and his children, Olivia and Brooks) are excite to return to our area. Coach Richardson will join the Fountain Lake Staff after Spring Break to facilitate Spring practice and Fountain Lake's return to 11-Man Football.

Spring pictures for Elementary will be Thursday, March 7th! Only students with a completed order form will have their pictures taken. Forms will be sent home with your students today.
REMINDER -
We will have school on Monday, February 19, 2024. Presidents' Day was a scheduled day off. We will use it as Make Up Day #1 for the four missed snow days. Other make up days are scheduled for March 29, April 5, and May 28.

Fountain Lake Unified Basketball team will be playing in the semi-finals Wednesday February 14 at 10:30 pm at Hot Springs HIgh School. Please get out there and show your support as these guys try to advance in the State tournament. Go Cobras!

Due to on going issues at the pool, we will have to cancel the FACES Swim classes for the remainder of Session 3. We are working to reschedule the classes for later in the year and will let you know ASAP.
Please note Make-Up Day schedule for 2023-2024:
Our approved school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year includes 5 make-up days as required by law. Those make-up days are January 15, February 19, March 29, April 5, and May 28. Since our 4 snow days last week occurred after January 15, we will have school on the remaining four days (February 19, March 29, April 5, and May 28).
Attention FACES families with Thursday Swim students! We have been informed that the issue with the pool has not been fixed yet. As a result, we will not be able to have the students swim today as scheduled and our swim class will remain on campus today at FACES. If you normally pick your swim students up at the pool, please plan to pick them up in the Elementary Cafeteria instead.

Regular bus routes will be used this afternoon, Tuesday, January 23. Parents on High Peak Road need to meet the bus at the highway.
Attention FACES families with Tuesday Swim students. We were just notified that the pipes at the pool burst due to the cold weather. They are trying to fix the problem, but we will not be able to swim today.
If you have a Thursday Swim student we will update you ASAP.
