
The Our Promise Cancer Resources Young Men of Distinction program honors outstanding young men in the community and educates them on cancer treatment with an emphasis on fundraising and volunteerism. Our very own Caleb Herring earned nearly 40 volunteer hours from the Spring to Fall of 2022. This year he was honored with, “The Character Award” and a scholarship in the amount of $500.
Garland County rising sophomores, juniors and seniors are asked to apply and encouraged to participate for three years.
If you are interested in becoming a member see Mrs. Keys for an application. The deadline for entry is 5pm on February 24, 2023. ALL applicants may be subject to an interview. There is a $100.00 Patronage Fee associated with this program.


Seniors: The Fountain Lake Alumni Association Scholarship has been posted to the scholarship page! It is due March 13th. Use some time over break to complete this application and a few more that have been added. Reminder that the Fountain Lake School District will be enjoying Christmas Break from Friday, December 23, 2022 until Sunday, January 8, 2023. Staff and Students will return on Monday, January 9, 2023.
School will dismiss at 2:15PM on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
There will be No School on Monday, January 16, 2023 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

The National Honor Society, in an effort to spread joy and cheer, organized a Christmas Card drive. Hundreds of cards were written by the Fountain Lake high school students with positive messages and Christmas jokes. The cards will be distributed to the residents of area nursing and rehab facilities. The picture is the NHS president, Wyatt Peters, handing off 170 cards to Shelia Russell with Hospice Homecare.

Thank you to all of the family and community members, students, and staff who completed the various calendar surveys over the last few weeks. Following last night's school board meeting, district staff and the Personnel Policy Committee will be preparing and presenting a traditional 178-Day calendar for adoption by the Fountain Lake School Board in February 2023 for the 2023-2024 school year. Again, thank you for your input and comments.

The Senior Girls Basketball Game at Home against Hot Springs scheduled for Thursday, December 8 has been cancelled.

Attention parents: The form for students to request a change to their class schedule has been sent to their student email. The deadline to request a schedule change is December 14th. Be sure your student completes this form if they need to make a change and they will meet with the counselor. Some requests may not be possible. All approved changes take place when we return on January 9th. Thank you.
