Fountain Lake School District formed a Relay for Life Team this year to participate in the Garland County division of the event. The Garland County Relay for life took place on April 14, 2023 and collected $31,595.68. Fountain Lake contributed $1,442.00 through online donations, a Jr. Beta Donation ($334.00), cotton candy and jewelry sales, and “advisory change wars”. Mrs. Amber Oleson’s class raised $62.05 of change weighing 7.8lbs! Because of Fountain Lake’s enthusiasm, the team was awarded 1st place for having the most spirit! Fountain Lake School cannot wait to see the team grow and raise more money next year. LET’S GO COBRAS!


Due to the possibility of inclement weather for Thursday evening 4/20/23, The baseball game and Sr. Night festivities with Morrilton have been moved up. Sr. Night will Start at 3:15 and the baseball game will start at 3:30. Come out and celebrate our 2023 Sr. Baseball Players. Go Cobras!

Congratulations to the Annaclaire Berry, Evan East (not pictured), Katelyn Foshee, Wyatt Peters, Tristan Wendel, and Samantha Wittman. Last week the Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce, partnered with Weyerhaeuser to honor the top 5% of students in Garland County. Students received certificates and awards at a dinner held at the Jot Springs Convention Center. Picture with our students are Superintendent Dr. Murphy, Principal Mr. Janaskie, and Assistant Principal Mr. Robertson.


Congratulations to our 62 High school students that were honored by the Hot Springs Village Altrusa Club at the Clinton Presidential Library for having achieved a 4.0 GPA in the Fall semester. Five seniors also received a scholarship for achieving this honor all four years.



On Wednesday, April 12, the Fountain Lake High School Student Council gifted a tree and marker to the middle school to honor the memory of teacher, Ginger Henson. Students gathered with members of Henson's family to dedicate the tree and remember her contribution to the school and students.

Congratulations to Caleb Herring and Khai Nobles. They have been selected to represent FLCHS and Hot Springs Village Rotary Club at Camp RYLA in April. Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive training program for community youth leaders. Talented young people attend an all-expense-paid seminar, camp or workshop, organized and run by Rotarians with records of achievement.



Congratulations to Yessenia Morales! She has earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating proficiency in English and Spanish by high school graduation.
The Seal of Biliteracy is now recognized in 49 states and Washington D.C. and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college
admissions offices. The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy is awarded each spring and fall to students in grades 9 through 12 and is sponsored by the Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association (AFLTA) and the Arkansas Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ARKTESOL) and endorsed by the Arkansas Department of Education. Way to go Yessi! We are proud of you!
