Approximately 7:23 AM, FLSD bus 18, was traveling on Highway 7 North when it had to abruptly stop due to a vehicle ahead. To avoid a collision, the driver moved the bus onto the shoulder, but the wet and muddy conditions caused the rear of the bus to slide into a ditch before he could fully stop. Thankfully, all students on board were unharmed. FL Police Chief Riley and the FL Fire Department quickly responded to the scene. The students were safely transferred to another bus, who continued transporting them to school without incident. We are grateful for the swift action of our emergency responders and staff, ensuring the safety of our students!
