The deadline to register for the February ACT occurs while we our on break. Taking the ACT multiple times is proven to increase the student's overall score. If your child is in the 11th or 12th grade they can qualify for a fee waiver. Have them see their school counselor and sign up this week!

Lainey Mungle, signed her letter of intent to play tennis at Henderson State University. Lainey has represented Fountain Lake with pride both on and off the field of play. She is a scholar Athlete, a person of faith, and has exemplified the true meaning of being a Cobra. We wish Lainey the best as she enters a new phase of her life and we want her to know we are PROUD of her. Go Cobras!



Mrs. Dukes and her service learning students had a wonderful day of service at Abilities for their annual Christmas Party. The students made 112 homemade ornaments and gift bags for all of the clients and served food at the party today. #servicelearning #FLMS








Major Andrew Maston. - Air Force pilot, spoke to several interested students at our recent Lunch & Learn at FLCHS. Major Maston, who currently flies for FedEx, has previously flown for Southwest Airlines.

Welcome to the home stretch before Christmas Break! Our high school students and teachers are working hard to prepare for semester finals held on December 21 & 22. All students are required to take exams in all applicable classes. Semester exams will count for 20% of the semester grade, and tests missed due to absence will result in a 0 score.


We will have a Booster Club meeting this Wednesday 12/13/2023 in the Boardroom of the Administration building at 6:00 pm. We ask those who are members and those who are interested in joining to please attend.

Reminder that the Cobra Winter Wonderland is taking place this evening, Thursday, December 7 from 5:00-7:00PM in the new south football field parking lot. Join us this evening for food , fun, and games!

If students are taking the ACT this Saturday, they must be checked in by 8 am. Arrive 15 minutes before. They must have:
1. an id (see counselor if you don’t have driver’s license)
2. admission ticket (printed from ACT account)
3. calculator
4. #2 pencils.
It is also a good idea to bring snacks and an analog watch (non-smartwatch).


Our Youth Advisory Council (YAC) members attended the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation donor reception on Tuesday, December 5. YAC members will select local nonprofit organizations to award grants at the conclusion of the year.

The 7th and 8th Grade Winter Semi-Formal was such a memorable evening! All the students seemed to have an amazing time and we loved seeing them all dance the night away.

Fountain Lake Charter High School would like to announce our 2023 School Winner for the Heisman High School Scholarship: Lainey Mungle.
Thousands of high school senior scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2024 from 4,129 different schools across the country applied for the scholarship earlier this fall. From this talented group of accomplished, community-minded young men and women, more than 4,878 have earned the honor of becoming School Winners in the Heisman High School Scholarship competition awarded by The Heisman Trophy Trust. CONGRATULATIONS, Lainey!


The Fountain Lake School District Board of Education regretfully accepted the resignation of Ms. Sarah Inman as Middle School Principal on Thursday, November 30, 2023 effective at the end of the Fall Semester. Ms. Inman will be supporting her parents as they navigate a series of illnesses. We want to express our appreciation to Ms. Inman for her service to the district and send all of our best wishes to her and her family. We are working to hire an interim Middle School Principal for the remainder of the school year.


The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2024-2025 academic year is expected to be available no later than December 31, 2023!
The FAFSA may be delayed, but that doesn't mean your students' application for college admission should be! Our target date of December 1st to have all applications submitted is almost here! Submitting admission applications early increases scholarship opportunities!
WHAT STUDENTS CAN DO NOW TO PREPARE FOR FAFSA
Prior-Prior Year (PPY) Tax Information: The 2024-2025 FAFSA will use 2022 tax information for students and their families to determine eligibility for federal student aid. They should ensure that this information is completed and accessible.
All students and parents contributing to the FAFSA will need a FSA ID. If they don't already have one, they can create an account at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
